Abstract
Behavioural genetics is the study of the hereditary influence on behaviour and can be regarded as the intersection between behavioural sciences and genetics. This review gives a brief description of the history of the field and the methods commonly used in behavioural genetics. Finally attention is paid to the pitfalls and limitations and to the future of behavioural genetics.
