Abstract
We investigated the microbial composition of recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) and the fish-associated microbiomes of common carp and zebrafish. Samples of the RAS biofilter and inflowing water were compared with the gill and gut microbiomes of the fish kept in these systems.
